Insurance is bought with what could go wrong in mind, so an agency's images need to make the abstract concrete: a couple seen from behind in their kitchen, keys to a new car, a policy form and pen, a calculator beside a premium quote, a brochure laying out coverage. Each picture should answer what's being protected, whether that's the home, the vehicle, health, a small business or a household's income if the policyholder is gone.
How to place images across your agency's channels
- Coverage pages: Keys on a contract for auto, a house with a yard for homeowners, a shopfront for business coverage. Visitors find their product without decoding the jargon.
- Quote request form: Hands with a calculator and paperwork, 3:2, beside the form; it frames the request without pulling attention from the fields.
- Claims page: Someone seen from behind on the phone next to their car, or sorting papers at home, for the page that explains how to report a collision or theft.
- Email newsletter: A kitchen table with coffee and bills for renewal reminders or an annual coverage checkup.
- Local social posts and ads: Everyday scenes from your area, like a repair shop, a house or a corner store, instead of generic umbrellas and shields.
Points to watch in insurance marketing
- Leave out wrecked cars, fires and hospital beds meant to scare. People comparing policies want clarity, not fear.
- Only illustrate lines you write: if you don't sell life policies, keep estate planning scenes off the homepage.
- Never imply that the person in a stock image filed a claim with you and got paid; those stories need real, consenting policyholders.
- Check that brochures or screens in the shot don't show carrier names or premium figures that don't match what you offer.
