See modelsBeyond the listings, what photos does a real estate agent need?
Every listing needs photos of the actual home. Stock images cover everything else: the page about how you work, your home valuation section, the buying and renting process and your advice posts. The scenes that fit are specific to the trade: a hand signing a purchase agreement, keys handed across a desk, a floor plan spread out with a pencil, an office with a city map on the wall, a folder of closing documents.
How agents use stock images
- Homepage hero: A bright entryway or hallway in 16:9, with space on top for your property search bar.
- Sell your home page: A valuation scene with a tape measure, floor plans and a clipboard, showing owners what happens at the first walkthrough.
- Buyer's guide: One image per step: browsing listings on a laptop, a showing, signing the offer and getting the keys.
- Blog posts: Moving boxes with labels or a calculator beside paperwork, for articles about mortgages or closing costs.
- Social ads for sellers: A 4:5 shot of keys or a sold sign for campaigns aimed at homeowners thinking about listing.
What agents should keep in mind
- Never put a stock photo on a property listing. Buyers expect to see that exact home, and the mismatch shows at the front door.
- Choose interiors close to your inventory. If you mostly sell starter condos, a mansion with a pool feels off.
- The hands signing or holding keys belong to models, not your buyers, so don't caption them as a deal you closed.
- Keep office shots and property shots in separate parts of the site so readers can tell your team from what's for sale.
